During the last week of July, three different shipments of AGS materials/equipment successfully ended up in Sigonella. These shipments concern NATO AGS system materials that are not delivered to NAGSMA but that industry is starting to collect in Sigonella for extended integration purposes, preparing the SLPV exercise. The shipments organisation involved several stakeholders (NAGSMA,NGISSII, AIRBUS, FINMECCANICA, NAGSF, ITA CUSTOMS, NAVSUP in Sigonella for Customs support, HN ITA) and has been a real challenge. The trip from Germany to Sigonella implied the organisation of a night stop, close to Roma, to make the drivers rest for the period of time imposed by laws on continuous driving. A Finmeccanica classified site close to Roma, was used for that purpose. Everything arrived within schedule. We thanks all stakeholders for this excellent work.
